Not on my property. Ask the census worker how his day went when he stopped by a few weeks ago.

I've been working for the census. With a weeks training and a few weeks of temp work we're not exactly the epitome of oppressive government control...just some people trying to make a buck and do a job that needs to be completed. When the real feds come they'll be the guys with M4s and flashbangs not a #2 pencil and a notebook. Wink

I know they tried this a couple of years ago. I had not seen anything on it recently.

some houses are listed as having an apartment in the basement with a separate entrance, but even with those I go to the front door of the house first.
I agree it's not a good idea to be walking around in somebodys back yard.

Sorry Bill but if you have "state waters" on your property and infringe on it or it's buffers without variance or permit the'll have you hemmed up quicker than you can yell Apple sucks. The EPD has right of access and ticket writing powers. The Army Corps are even worse.

That article takes a prettty aggressive tone...it takes a lot more than a heavy rain to determine a state waters or wetland.

I not only don't agree with the proposed new rule, I don't think it will ever be put into law.

Bet if he rolled up in a Jeep would an unannounced visiter be chased off? I have been known to roll up on Jeep owners to chat randomly. Never had a problem either til the other night. Say what color is that Tj of yours? I drive through ballground twice a day.

FYI

quote:
Originally posted by Association of Metropolitan Water Agencies:
Administration, Oberstar Continue To Push For CWA Revisions
Responding to a request from House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman
James Oberstar (D-Minn.) for comments on the potential impact of his “America's Commitment
to Clean Water Act” (H.R. 5088), EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson this month said that the bill
would “reaffirm, without expansion, the geographic scope of the Clean Water Act as it existed”
prior to two Supreme Court decisions over the past several years. Oberstar has argued that his
bill would restore the “original scope” of the Clean Water Act, but Republican critics contend
that it would expand federal authority over virtually all water bodies.
H.R. 5088 would remove the term “navigable waters of the United States” from the Clean Water
Act and replace it with the term “waters of the United States.” The bill is not expected to
advance through Congress before the end of the year.

Need to get rid of Oberstar and Jackson! Mad

You'll never see his, it isn't tagged or insured. Mine rarely comes out of the garage, but it's tan and black on 37s. I live off ball ground highway between Jordan's package store and the bypass to 515 (basically through the woods from 2 bros bbq).
