I haven't had the chance to get the parts from Jeep. Is there a "homeade" way to fix it that you know of?

I'm not sure of a homemade way. I guess you could get some type of thin foil-lined insulation and see if that helps.

It has got to be heatsoak. We looked at homes all day in Orlando today (98deg Shocked ) and without question if I left the hood closed it would studder for a good 45 sec. after startup. If I cracked the hood it didn't studder a single time on startup.

Sounds like heat soak. My '99XJ will do that but it is only for maybe 10 seconds. I got this from Summit - http://www.summitracing.com/parts/THE-17062/ - not sure if this is the correct size so measure the OD of an injector first. I put 2 layers on each injector with the slits 180* off from each other because I slit the tube to put over the injector instead of removing them. Did not help. When I had my A/C issue which was do to heat - the clutch on the compressor would quit engaging when it got to hot - if I popped the hood when I was going to be at a store for a short time it would work when I came back out, it I did not pop the hood it would take several minutes for the a/c to start working again.

NAXJA seems to promote injectors from http://www.fiveomotorsport.com/fuel-injectors/

If you do change the injectors let us know how it does because I have been tempted to try that but have not because of the cost.
